golden pothos: immortal (almost)
golden pothos — Epipremnum aureum

9/10
the plant equivalent of a golden retriever.
the case for pothos
i have forgotten this plant for three weeks straight. i have watered it with leftover sparkling water (don't). i once knocked it off a shelf and repotted it with kitchen spoons. it has responded to all of this by growing another meter.
the one point off
it's not a 10 because it will dramatically droop the second it's thirsty — which sounds useful until you realize it does the same thing when it's overwatered. learn the difference: dry soil + droop = thirsty. wet soil + droop = back off.
who it's for
everyone. literally everyone. if you've killed plants before, start here. if this one dies, the problem is the spot, not you — move it and try again.

the weekly entry
real plant talk. once a week.
no fluff. just the stuff we all wish we knew sooner.
